Vintage 1950's Hamilton Catalina Racer Steel Pedal Car
This listing is for a vintage (1950's) Hamilton Catalina Racer. The listing is considered loose (no original box, packaging, or pamphlets) and in used, played with condition. The item has been in storage for some time, but has been exposed to the elements.
So the pedal car does have multiple levels of surface wear and missing items. The surface wear associated to the item includes but is not limited to the following: scratching, scrapes, scuffs, dents, corrosion, p. Aint that is fading, cracking, bubbling, or completely gone.
In addition, there are items known to be missing from the vehicle, along with other ailments that could reduce the items overall value. Please review the pictures for additional details and descriptions, as they may tell a better story or paint a better picture of the items overall condition.
As a side note, I did have one of my daughter's test the item and it does function fairly well. However, the back (forward facing) right wheel limits smooth movement. To me, it appears as if there is a slight bend in the rear axle. This bend likely contributes to the wobble in the rear wheel and the loose connection. Overall, the item is in fair condition given its age. Here are my personal notes. The wheels and axles are in fair to decent shape. The car's back axle has a slight bend near the (forward facing) right back wheel. Item missing hubcap on same rear wheel (forward facing right rear). Denting on rear wheel rim (both rear tires). Rusting, scratches, scrapes, dings on frame. Potential for aftermarket nuts, bolts, straps, pins, washers or other items used in original manufacturing. This is a really neat old pedal car and given it's age and condition, in pretty decent shape. It's not perfect in any way, however, it does grab your attention and makes for a decent display piece.
