Vintage GEARBOX Fire Truck No. 1 Pedal Car. Nice Condition

This red and silver tone pedal car features yellow lettering to its side and front that read Volunteer Fire Dept. The car rests on four red and black whitewall wheels, includes interior pedals, and a trunk space to the rear. The truck is marked "GearBox Pedal Car Company Cedar Rapids, Iowa".

Minor scratches and scuffs; some superficial oxidation. Typical of a car this age. Has both ladders, fire hose and the bell is here also! I did notice a few dings on the car. Its been in the garage so it could use a good cleaning.

I think the scratches could be touched up if you wanted. In Cedar Rapids, registered in the year 2000.

Though production is recent, there actually is a roundabout connection to the revered Buddy L toys of yesteryear. From 1976 to 1990, Buddy L was owned by Richard Keats, a well-known New York toy designer who went to work for Buddy L the day after he graduated from Brown University in 1948.
