Vintage 1949 MOBO PIONEER antique toy PEDAL CAR old western cowboy COVERED WAGON

MOBO Pedal Car COVERED WAGON. From what I've read, this antique toy was made in England and had its debut at the 1949 New York Toy Fair.

Nicely made of painted metal with a wooden slatted seat and a decorative cloth covered top (that is original to the toy). Long x 16 wide x 3 ft. CONDITION : As seen, the cloth top has some staining and an old weld repair on the frame where it bolts to the rear of the seat; is missing the rope that held the top down to the frame.

The seat and top need to be reattached with bolts/nuts as the seat is now tie-strapped onto the frame--which is how I bought it several years ago; the cloth top's tubular frame appears to be missing a metal attaching swivel clip (is circled in one of the photos). Front wheel rubber has been replaced with a rubber fuel line. The metal frame shows some paint nicks and light rusting.

Horse has a slight ding to the top of its head which causing a slight separation of the metal halves. All in all, it is in very good condition considering it is almost 70 years old.
