1930s VINTAGE AMUSEMENT PARK CARNIVAL RIDE CHILDS MACK FIRE ENGINE LADDER TRUCK

1930s VINTAGE AMUSEMENT PARK CARNIVAL RIDE CHILD'S MACK FIRE TRUCK. Totally original and has been in storage for decades. I do not know what Amusement Park or Carnival it was used in. These were handmade by an unknown company for rides. See photos as to how they were used.

Measures 5 foot long x 2 foot wide x 27 tall to top of the wood steering wheel. It has a wood floor, seat slats and running boards and a heavy gauge steel body. I would guess it weighs about 90 -100 lbs, actual weight is not known.

Holds two smaller children and would mount on a revolving wood platform in the late 1930s and used probably to the 1950s. The grill is made like a late 1930s Mack Truck and has MACK painted on it. It was made with different size tires to lean down slightly on the left and the outer front right tire is turned in as if it was coming around a curve to give the kids a realistic feel of turning and speed.

All the wheels and tires are original as is the old red paint and white lettering. Has an actual chain pull bell mounted on the hood. The wood steering wheels just spin for the kids and were not actually able to turn the front wheels. It was mounted on a round or octagonal wood platform as shown in the two vintage Carnival/Amusement Park photos that are included with the sale of this authentic ride.

There is a round hole on the mid left side that would allow a connecting support pole to attach the truck to the center motorized portion of the ride so the truck would not move on the platform as shown in the two old pictures I have included. The old vintage photos are not of this actual truck but are similar and show how this would have been set up as a ride. There would have been 6 or 8 vehicles on a typical ride set up the same way. One rung on the right hand side ladder is broken and I pushed it back in place, just needs to be glued.
